So many people involved in a home based business feel that they have to be extremely smart or mature in their business before the real success will come.  In this article I plan to show you how building your business like a child can help you see more results faster and grow your income in a huge way.

How could thinking like a child possibly help your business?  Here are a few reasons why you should act your shoe size … not your age.

Children only have one goal in mind at any given moment.  For instance, if you’ve ever seen a little boy or girl in the toy aisle at Wal-Mart or Target they’re usually begging their mom or dad for a toy.  In that moment, in the mind of a child, that toy is the most important thing on planet earth.

You can try and distract them but they want what they want and they’re not going to stop putting up a fight for it.

As a home based business owner you can learn a lot from this.  If we, as adults, had one-eighth the passion for success that the small child has for their toy we’d be hearing a lot more success stories in our home based businesses.

Children don’t have a plan B, and we shouldn’t either.  Almost all network marketing success stories come from people who were at a point in their lives when they literally had no other option but success.

In that moment in the toy aisle you’ll never see a child say, “Well I really want that new doll but I do have several other dolls at home I could play with so I’ll just forget about it.”

So, for instance, if your goal is to make a six figure income working from home you should not see yourself short by saying, “Well, I guess $60,000 is really all I need.”

Set a goal and allow yourself no other options but reaching that goal.

Another way children are great examples is how they deal with people.  Children have no fear.  If a little boy walks up to another little boy in the sandbox and asks him to play, he’s not thinking, “Oh gosh I don’t know if I should ask him to play.  I mean, he’s having a pretty good time in the sandbox, and I don’t want to bother him.”

NO!

If a kid wants to play with another kid he just walks up and asks him.  No fear, no beating around the bush.  If he want to play, great!  If not, at least he knows.

Have an idea of what I am getting at?  You have to talk to people about your home based business without any fear.  After all, the worst they can say is no, right?

Stop worrying about if you’re “bothering” people or trying to figure out exactly what they’re going to say.  Who cares?  You have something great in yoru hands and if they want it, awesome!  If they do not, so what?

Market your business less like an adult and more like a confident, excited child and your business will never be the same again!

A lot of people who start in an MLM company never have a really good vision of what they want. They simply see an opportunity to make money and not an opportunity to change their lives. If the only focus is on making extra money, the person will realize that simply working more at their job or taking on a second job will accomplish the same goal. They will never work for MLM success and will quit.


Care For Others


One crucial factor in MLM success is simply being compassionate and caring about the people you work with. Your success in MLM depends on whether you help others be successful. If you help others succeed, you will naturally succeed. Get to know the people you work with. Find out what their goals and dreams are and help them reach them. Doing this will move you closer to your goals and dreams.


People who often fail at MLM think it is all about them and not about their team. They invest little in themselves and even less in others. But if you invest in others, beyond just money, you will foster a team atmosphere and build relationships that will be strong both inside and outside of the business.

When you get started in a home based business you’d better be prepared for two truths…

1. If you work hard you’re going to make a lot of money

And

2. Some people aren’t gonna like it!

It’s true, when people start a home based business they are going to have people in their life who don’t like it. It stinks but that’s just the way it is. Whether it’s your co-workers, your family, your friends or your spouse your critics are always going to be there.

Let’s start with co-workers. I remember going to work and telling all my co-workers that I was going to retire in a couple years because I had just started my home based business. I expected them to be happy and excited for me… well…. Not so much. What I got was a lot of judgmental people all telling me that I had been scammed and treating me like I had committed some sort of crime. It’s hard to say exactly why this is but my guess is that whenever people do something that is outside of the norm people just tend to not like it.

If you are going to be successful in your home based business you are going to have to learn not to care. Don’t let anyone decide what is best for you and your financial future. When you are able to quit your job and work from home full time my guess is that they’ll become believers so don’t worry about your critics at the office!

Family and friends can be harder to deal with because you probably care about their opinion more than almost anyone. The same can be said for your spouse. It can really sting when someone you love and care about makes fun of you or doesn’t believe in your dream. However, you have to stand firm in your decision.

Family and friends love you and they only want what’s best for you… they just don’t know that what’s best for you is to not listen to them! I can’t tell you how many times someone has been excited and ready to start in my business with me when they say “I just want to run it by my husband/ wife” and guess what… many of them never call me again!

Don’t let anyone, even if it’s someone you love take your dreams away from you!

Even strangers will tell you you’re crazy for joining a home based business. However, unlike the other people we’ve talked about so far they should be pretty easy to ignore! Don’t let them get you down, if you’re talking to them on he phone hang up! If they are in person, walk away! There is nothing sadder than someone quitting a business that could have made them rich because of something a prospect or a stranger said to them!

So in conclusion, there are going to be lots of people along the journey to home business success that are going to tell you that you can’t do it. Well guess what… yes you can!

What are they searching for?

Can you tie what you have to their search?

Do you have something that can help them?

What message do they need to see or hear to want to be on your list, to buy your product, or enroll in your business?

None of this has to be fancy or difficult. It simply takes some, and pardon the cliché, “thinking outside of the box” time and coming up with a plan to get your message found and read.

Trait #3:  Caution

There are two types of marketing web pages out there on the Internet: Good ones and bad ones.

The bad ones contain a lot of information. There is no mystery to the product, the offering, the business, or the message. It is out there for the world to see.

The good ones, however, exercise caution with their message. They give some information but not enough for someone to make an informed decision. Instead they give just enough information to interest the individual the message is targeting.

In return, the individual subscribes or willingly gives information in order to get the rest of the story.
